In a recent address, Nassau County Legislator Scott Davis pushed back against claims made by County Executive Bruce Blakeman suggesting that Democrats are responsible for the stalled Capital Plan. Davis refuted the narrative, citing that not a single Democratic Community Revitalization Project has been processed since 2023—despite multiple proposals totaling over $1 million for first responders alone.
Meanwhile, over 30 projects in Republican districts have moved forward.
“The issue doesn’t lie with the Legislature—it lies on the County Executive’s desk,” Davis asserted. “Process our projects the same way you’ve done for the Republican districts, and we’ll move forward with bonding the Capital Plan. There is no legitimate reason not to.”
The statement highlights Davis’s demand for equitable treatment across districts and calls for transparency and fairness in government project approvals.
