Honoring 100 years of service and safety

Updated: May 10

This past weekend, I had the honor of marching alongside my colleagues in celebration of the Nassau County Police Department’s 100-year anniversary. The commemorative parade and gala served as a powerful reminder of the unwavering commitment and courage demonstrated by the men and women who serve on the front lines of public safety.

For a century, the NCPD has stood as a pillar of strength, safeguarding our families, our neighborhoods, and our way of life. Their dedication to service—often under challenging and dangerous conditions—deserves not only our recognition but our lasting gratitude.

As an elected official and proud resident of Nassau County, I extend my deepest thanks to every member of the department. Your bravery, professionalism, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. On behalf of our community, thank you for continuing to protect and serve with honor.
